Global Production
Lead remains one of the strategic metals in global industries. Its primary consumption occurs in the production of automotive batteries, industrial equipment, and certain military industries. In recent years, global lead production has increased with growing demand in these sectors. China, Australia, and the United States lead global production, with China alone accounting for over half of the market share.
Meanwhile, Soojmiran, as one of Iran's lead concentrate producers, contributes to the global supply chain of this metal. The concentrate produced at our facility is primarily exported, and its market is pre-secured by reputable international customers. By increasing production capacity to approximately 7,000 tons per year, Soojmiran has managed to solidify its share in the export market and is taking steps towards enhancing productivity, self-sufficiency, and sustainability.

Supply and Demand
Based on forecasts, the global lead market has shown an upward trend in recent years, with refined lead supply expected to reach approximately 13.46 million tons, growing by 1.4%. Demand, on the other hand, is approaching 13.42 million tons, with a 1.9% increase.
The rising demand, especially in the battery, transportation, and new energy industries, highlights the strategic importance of this metal in the global economy. However, lead production continues to face challenges such as environmental restrictions, energy costs, and fluctuating trade policies.
In this environment, Soojmiran has secured a stable share of the international market by focusing on quality concentrate production and export. Stability in raw material supply, utilization of modern processing technology, and collaboration with reputable foreign customers are factors that have strengthened Soojmiran's position in the current competitive landscape.
